• An article on Steve Wing, a community-based researcher who has done work on the Three Mile Island accident and hog farms in North Carolina.

• For U.S. Science Policy, It's Time for a Reality Check, an editorial in the Chronicle of Higher Education, by Loka's director Richard Sclove.

• Science by everyone: Building a world-wide community research network, an opinion piece in Nature by Madeline Scammell and Richard Sclove.

• Better Approaches to Science Policy, an editorial in Science by Richard Sclove.

• Community-Based Projects Help Scholars Build Public Support, an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education by Colleen Cordes.

• Photocopied articles from Action and Knowledge: Breaking the Monopoly with Participatory Action-Research. These will appear in your mailboxes. These two short pieces discuss the philosophical and epistemological underpinnings of community-based research. This isn't the lightest of reading; it's kinda jargon-filled.
