future courses

This is a list of my upcoming courses.Last updated April 26 2025.

Here is the general pattern for my courses:

  • Every fall I teach The Physics and Math of Sustainable Energy.
  • In even years (2022-23, 2024-25, 2026-27, etc) I teach Calculus I and II.
  • In odd years (2021-22, 2023-24, 2025-26, etc) I teach Physics I and Physics II. (Note: In Fall 2023 Physics I will be offered by a visiting faculty member.)
  • Almost every year I teach a class appropriate for students who have taken single-variable calculus. Examples of such classes include Calculus III, Linear Algebra, Thermodynamics, Differential Equations.
  • Almost every year I teach a class aimed at students whose interests lie in the humanities and/or the arts. This class alternates between Introduction to Chaos and Fractals and Computational Text Analysis.

I occasionally offer tutorials in intermediate and advanced topics to groups of motivated students. If you have questions or requests, please contact me.

For additional information see the math and physics @ coa faq.
